Arizona Designer Reinvents the Luxury Shoe
Evelyn Ford Luxury was born from the belief that there must be a way to make stylish, yet truly comfortable designer shoes.
Evelyn Schickling, the brand visionary and founder, spent the greater part of her financial career wearing painful pumps and heels because the typical "comfort" shoe was never dress-code appropriate. After years of trying to retrofit uncomfortable shoes with aftermarket inserts and insoles, she took on the challenge of creating the perfect luxury shoe herself.
Evelyn left behind corporate life and enrolled in Ars Sutoria, the premier shoe design school in Milan, Italy. After completing the program, she collaborated with artisans who have worked with iconic luxury brands like Oscar de la Renta and Marchesa, as well as the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University.
That collaboration led Evelyn to accomplish exactly what she set out to achieve — designing handmade Italian designer shoes that are equally stylish and supportive. Her collection of luxury heels, flats, and bridal shoes features built-in gel cushioning, foam comfort technology, and the option to add personalized arch support through the Dream Arch™ insert — all hidden within beautiful Italian leather and uncompromising craftsmanship.
